What is this Rite of Christian Initiation for Children?
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Children is the way children are initiated into the Christian way of life, specifically in the Roman Catholic tradition.
Who is RCIC for?
-Those students who have not been baptized and are above the age of reasoning; that is the age of 7. All unbaptized children will attend grade level classes until January then they will attend Baptism classes together.
Special Sacrament Classes
-Those students who were baptized as an infant or small child but have not been catechized and are now asking to receive First Eucharist. Students will attend classes with other students in their age group.
Their study is focused primarily on preparation of the Sacraments of Baptism and First Eucharist and is family-centered. There will be 6 family classes.
